All dancers must bring a signed Covid-19 waiver with them on the first day of dance. No dancer will be admitted without this signed waiver.
Glass Slippers Dance Studio 2020-2021 Opening Guidelines
Drop Off/Pick Up- Waiting Room Closed
Students will be dropped off one at a time. The waiting room will not be open at this time, and parents must wait in their cars or return at pickup time. Please respect social distancing guidelines while outside the studio. All dancers are required to wear a mask upon entering and exiting the studio. We will dismiss one at a time as well. Please be prompt picking up your dancer, so we may complete our cleaning procedures and welcome our next group of dancers into the studio on time. If you need to speak with receptionist or handle any payments, please do so from the door. All classes will end 5 minutes early to sanitize the dance rooms.
All students and staff will be asked the series of questions below upon arrival:
In the past 24 hours, have you experienced:
o New or worsening cough
o Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
o Sore throat, different than your seasonal allergies
o New loss of smell and/or taste
o Diarrhea or vomiting
Has anyone in your household or a close contact been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks?
After Passing the Questionnaire
Temperature checks will be taken and anyone with a temperature over 100.4 degrees will not be admitted inside.
Once a dancer/staff member has passed the screening, they will be brought inside the studio and will be asked to sanitize their hands.
Dancers are not be required to wear masks but are STRONGLY encouraged. All teachers and staff will wear masks for the entire time in the studio. All dancers will be required to sanitize their hands anytime they touch their face during class.
Our dressing room will be closed for the time being. Dancers will have an individual place for their items inside of the classroom. Please only send dance shoes and a water bottle with your dancer. No other items will be permitted. Please make sure all dancewear is clean and has not been worn anywhere since it has last been washed. All dancers should arrive in their dance attire ready to dance. Please make sure you take everything with you from the studio when you leave. We will not be keeping a lost and found during this time. No personal items will be allowed to be left behind at the end of the day.
We will have the floor marked with 6 foot squares where each dancer will remain in for the duration of the class. Classes are capped at 10 dancers. Dancers are not be required to wear masks but are STRONGLY encouraged to. All teachers and staff will wear masks for the entire time in the studio.
The studio will be cleaned between each group of dancers, and all high touch surfaces will be wiped down often. No props will be used for the time being during any class. Acro mats will be used in acro class only if maintaining a 6 foot distance is possible. Mats will be sanitized after every use. The ballet barre is marked off every 6 feet as well to ensure social distancing and will be sanitized between classes. The colored dots used by our beginner classes will also be sanitized after every group of dancers. Hands will be sanitized upon arrival and at the end of class.
Guidelines may be updated at any time with new information from the County, State, or Federal Government. We reserve the right to offer additional safety precautions outside of government guidelines to best protect our students, staff, and families.
While we will do our best to provide the safest environment possible and minimize risks, there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. By attending classes, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. You will be asked to sign a waiver on the first day of class in order to participate.
